'Timing Is The Problem, Not Excercise': Supreme Court Pulls Up Election Commission On Bihar Electoral Roll Revision

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday, July 10, questioned the the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Bihar electoral roll, saying that the "problem is not the exercise, but the timing of it", as quoted by NDTV.

As of now, six PILs have been filed by various political leaders and social organisations, including TMC leader Mahua Moitra and the Association for Democratic Reform (ADR), seeking a stay order on the revision.

The Bihar state assembly elections are reportedly scheduled for November, later this year.
