"Problem Is The Timing": Supreme Court On Bihar Electoral Rolls Revision

The Supreme Court asked tough questions of the Election Commission Thursday over the 'special intensive revision' of electoral rolls in Bihar - months before a crucial Assembly election.

The court accepted the legality of the exercise but asked the EC why it had chosen to initiate the process just ahead of an election. "Your excercise is not the problem, it is the timing..." the court told the EC.
