Pune Techie Mixes Abortion Pills In Rabdi On His B'day, Causes Girlfriend’s Miscarriage In Hinjawadi

A disturbing incident involving betrayal and sexual abuse has come to light in the cultural capital of Pune, raising concerns over women’s safety and increasing cases of deception under the guise of love.

According to police reports, a woman from Yavatmal, who had been in a relationship with 28-year-old techie Adarsh Valmik Meshram since 2018, was betrayed in a shocking manner. The victim, who met Adarsh during college, initially believed their relationship was headed towards marriage. However, things took a sinister turn when she became pregnant, and Adarsh refused to marry her.

The incident came to light after the victim filed a complaint at Hinjawadi police station. She alleged that on July 3, 2025, during Adarsh’s birthday celebrations in Pune, he brought her rabdi (a milk-based dessert). Unbeknownst to her, Adarsh had mixed an abortion pill into the rabdi. The victim consumed the dessert and soon suffered a miscarriage.

Balaji Pandhare, Senior Police Inspector of Hinjawadi Police Station, speaking to Free Press Journal, said, "They both were in a relationship for the last two years. As per the victim's complaint, we have registered the case. Post-medical of the victim and investigation, action will be taken against the accused. Furthermore, the matter is under investigation."

Shocking claims in FIR

Further investigation revealed that the victim’s mobile phone contained communication and evidence of Adarsh’s relationships with other girls, exposing his infidelity. One of these relationships was with his ex-girlfriend, who also confirmed that Adarsh had sexually exploited her under the pretext of marriage.

The victim’s complaint alleged that Adarsh had a pattern of cheating and abusing women. After discovering his multiple relationships and deceit, the victim decided to approach the police. The authorities registered a case under Sections 376 (rape), 313 (abortion without the woman’s consent), and other relevant sections against Adarsh.

Currently, the police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
