Chitrangda Singh Joins Salman Khan In Battle Of Galwan
Actor Chitrangda Singh has officially boarded the cast of 'Battle Of Galwan', the much-anticipated war drama led by Salman Khan and helmed by Apoorva Lakhia, best known for 'Shootout at Lokhandwala'.
Set against the backdrop of the 2020 Galwan Valley standoff between Indian and Chinese forces, the film brings to screen one of the most defining moments in recent Indian military history.
Chitrangda to share screen with Salman Khan
This marks the first time Chitrangda and Salman will share screen space, a pairing that has already sparked interest among fans and the film fraternity alike.
“I've always wanted to work with Chitrangda since I watched her amazing performance in Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and then Bob Biswas,” said Lakhia in an official statement.
Welcoming her to the project, he added, “We’re thrilled to have Chitrangda Singh join the cast of Battle of Galwan. She brings a rare blend of strength and sensitivity to the screen. Her feminine energy will be a perfect contrast to Salman Sir’s brooding but quiet strength.”
About Battle Of Galwan
The film, which Salman Khan announced last week via his social media platforms, is based on the Galwan Valley clash that occurred in June 2020. The conflict, which resulted in the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers, was one of the most intense face-offs between India and China in decades. Notably, the battle was fought without a single shot being fired, yet it remains one of the most brutal high-altitude standoffs in modern warfare—taking place over 15,000 feet above sea level.
Chitrangda is known for critically acclaimed performances in films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Yeh Saali Zindagi.
