Guru Purnima Mahotsav 2025: Over 20K Devotees Gather At Kubereshwar Dham For 'Guru Diksha'; Vehicles On Bhopal-Dewas Corridor Likely To Be Diverted

Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): Around 20,000 people gathered at Pandit Pradeep Mishra's Kubereshwar Dham in Sehore on the occasion of Guru Purnima on Thursday. A large number of devotees took initiation (Guru Diksha) here.

Dham administrators said that as part of the Guru Purnima Mahotsav, Guru Diksha has been given to thousands of devotees since morning, and a discourse will be organised from 1 pm to 2:30 pm.

At least 10 huge pandals were set up to accommodate the Lord Shiva bhakts.

Last year, only one pandal was set up on Guru Purnima; however, anticipating the large footfall and learning a lesson from the previous year, the dham management committee decided to make arrangements accordingly this time.

Over 30 quintals of nuqti will be distributed along with food prasadi.

Pradeep Mishra attributed the large footfall to Lord Shiva's blessings. He further said that all gods are the same; there is no difference between them. No matter by what name or form they are worshipped, they all are different aspects of the same supreme power. This reflects the religious and spiritual glory of Kashi, he added.

Traffic changes on cards

Collector Balaguru K. said that the police and administration have made full preparations. In case of a sudden surge in the crowd, they will divert the vehicles or block the route as required. Vehicular movement will be changed along the Bhopal-Dewas corridor, depending on the situation.
