Fake video circulated: Sirsa

Manjinder Singh Sirsa, senior BJP leader and Cabinet Minister in the Delhi Government, on Thursday accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of circulating a morphed and doctored video of him “to divert attention from their own unlawful activities in Punjab and to malign his public image”.

“The AAP is clearly rattled after my press conference in Punjab. Aman Arora and his colleagues have now stooped to circulating fake videos of me online. Let me tell you clearly — if the said video is not removed and a public apology is not issued by Aman Arora, I will initiate a defamation suit and take this battle to court,” Sirsa said.

Calling out the AAP government in Punjab for what he described as turning the state into a police state, Sirsa accused the party of shielding gangsters and running a full-fledged extortion syndicate.

“I will expose how the AAP has allowed gangsters to flourish in Punjab and is now using them to selectively target and kill people. The truth is being deliberately suppressed because extortion money is flowing into the system — and AAP leaders are the ones benefiting from it,” he said.

He raised pointed questions on the murder of Sanjay Verma and the alleged fake encounter that followed.

“The encounter that your government staged is nothing but a scripted drama. It is childish and full of holes. You staged it just to cover up the truth. But I will expose this farce — piece by piece. I will ensure the role of every single police officer involved is brought into the public eye,” he declared.

Sirsa alleged that innocent youth in Punjab are being killed in the name of law and order and held the AAP government responsible for this growing lawlessness.

“You are killing the sons of Punjab through fake encounters. You are running this entire nexus of fear, silence and extortion. But I will go to the root of it all. Nothing will stay hidden,” he asserted
