JKEEU delegation discusses key issues with MD JKPDCL

JAMMU, July 10: A delegation of J&K Electrical Employees Union (JKEEU) today met Managing Director (MD) of the Jammu and Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JKPDCL), Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, and projected their demands.
The delegation discussed burning issues of the employees as well as their genuine demands with the MD. The key demands and issues raised during the meeting include regularization of 557 daily rated workers and holding long pending DPC meeting for general category employees.
The MD was apprised that in recent years, a number of daily rated workers have injured while performing their duties but no financial assistance was provided to them yet. They further highlighted that even those daily rated workers who lost their lives in the line of duty, no ex-gratia or support was extended to their families.
Responding to their issues and demands, the MD assured that he will personally look into these pressing issues and make efforts towards resolving them at the earliest.
