Airports New Rules: If you use HDFC Bank’s Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card, then this news is important for you. From June 10, 2025, the free airport lounge access facility available on this card is being changed.
Till now, one used to get direct entry by swiping the card at the lounge counter. But according to the new rules, this will not happen now. Now you will be given vouchers based on the expenses made through the card. With these vouchers only you will be able to go to selected domestic airport lounges.
This change will be applicable only on Tata Neu Infinity Credit Card. If you use this card, then from now on you will need a voucher while traveling, so be prepared in advance.
Entry will not be granted by swiping the card
Now entry to airport lounges will not be granted by directly swiping the card. New conditions have been imposed to get lounge access with Tata New Infinity Credit Card.
According to the new rules, if cardholders spend ₹50,000 or more in every calendar quarter, they will be given two lounge vouchers. In this way, a maximum of eight vouchers can be obtained in a year.
These vouchers can be used only in 18 selected airport lounges in India.
Keep these things in mind while using the airport lounge
If you are going to avail the airport lounge facility, it is very important to keep some important things in mind, otherwise you may have to pay extra charges. Facilities like alcohol, spa or nap room are usually not free in the lounge. An additional charge is taken for using them.
Also, in most lounges, one is allowed to stay only for a fixed time. Usually this time limit is 2 to 3 hours. If you stay in the lounge for longer than this, then you may have to pay a separate charge.
These rules are especially important for those passengers who travel frequently and use the lounge.
So next time before availing the lounge facility, make sure to check whether you have crossed your fixed spending limit and whether you have a valid voucher or not. This will help you avoid unwanted expenses.
