Bank Service Closed: Big news for HDFC Bank customers! UPI service will not work tomorrow, know when and why?
Digital transactions related to HDFC Bank may be disrupted for a few hours tomorrow morning i.e. on 12th July. The bank has advised customers to make payments through alternative methods. This disruption is part of a necessary process, which aims to improve the service.
Bank Service Closed: If you are a customer of HDFC Bank and transact using UPI, then this news is important for you. The bank has announced that UPI services will be closed for 4 hours tomorrow i.e. on 12th July. The reason is necessary maintenance of the system. That means during this time you will not be able to use the UPI service linked to your HDFC account.
HDFC Bank has informed its customers through email that the bank’s UPI service will be temporarily closed from 2:30 am to 6:30 am (total 4 hours) on July 12, 2025. During this time the bank will carry out necessary maintenance and improvement work in its system.
Suggestion to use PayZapp wallet
For the convenience of customers, the bank has suggested that they can use PayZapp wallet during this period, so that transactions can be done without any problem.
Apologies for the inconvenience to customers
HDFC Bank has apologized for the inconvenience caused to customers and said that this work is being done with the aim of improving the quality and security of the service. The bank has appealed to the customers for cooperation. If there is any important payment or transaction and you have only HDFC Bank account, then settle it before 2:30 am on July 12. Use PayZapp or other options instead of UPI during this period. After system maintenance, the service will start normally from 6:30 am.
You can use UPI service of other bank
If you have to make payment in these 4 hours and you have an account in any other bank other than HDFC Bank, then you can use the UPI service of that bank. This temporary disruption is a step towards making the bank’s service more robust and secure.
