Music Video Featuring Tennis Star Radhika Yadav Emerges Amid Shock Over Her Murder By Father
As the tragic murder of national-level tennis player Radhika Yadav continues to send shockwaves across the country, a new detail has come to light — a music video featuring the 25-year-old has surfaced online, adding a fresh layer to the heartbreaking story.
Radhika was shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav, at their home in Gurugram's upscale Sushant Lok area on Thursday. Now, with the emergence of the music video — titled Karwaan and released under the LLF Records label — questions are intensifying around the tensions brewing in the Yadav household before the incident.
The video, produced by Zeeshan Ahmad and featuring artist INAAM, shows Radhika in several romantic sequences alongside the singer. It was released a year ago and quickly caught attention, not just for its visuals but now, for what it may have symbolized within the dynamics of her family.
A Daughter's Dreams, A Father's Disapproval
Radhika, once a rising tennis star who had represented Haryana and India at various tournaments, had to pause her athletic career two years ago due to an injury. According to police sources, she shifted her focus to becoming a social media influencer — regularly posting Instagram reels and embracing a growing digital presence.
But this pivot didn't sit well with her father. Deepak reportedly objected to her increasing visibility online and asked her several times to take down her social media content. His discontent was further compounded by her running a tennis academy and gaining financial independence.
Authorities believe these growing disagreements culminated in Thursday's tragedy. Deepak, who hails from Wazirabad and has since been arrested, confessed to the police that he was frustrated and embarrassed by villagers who mocked him for relying on his daughter's income — a humiliation he said he could no longer endure.
A Celebration Turns Catastrophic
The events unfolded in a matter of seconds. Radhika was in the kitchen, preparing food for her mother’s birthday, when Deepak opened fire with his licensed .32 bore revolver. He fired five times; three bullets struck her in the back. She died on the spot. The police registered an FIR following a complaint by Radhika's uncle, Kuldeep Yadav.
At the time of the shooting, Radhika's mother, Manju Yadav, was on the same floor but initially declined to speak with investigators. She later told police she had been resting due to a fever and initially mistook the gunshots for a pressure cooker explosion. She also emphasized her daughter’s strong character, insisting Radhika had never done anything to dishonor the family.
Their son, Dheeraj, was not home when the incident occurred.
Radhika’s untimely death has left the sports community and her supporters in a state of grief and disbelief. Known for her dedication and achievements on the tennis court, her journey was cut short not by injury or circumstance — but by a brutal act of violence from within her own home.
