Breaking: Monsoon Chaos Grips India, Floods, Landslides, and Crumbling Infrastructure | ABP NEWS

Monsoon fury has brought chaos to several parts of North India, especially in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, and Jammu & Kashmir. In Agra, heavy rainfall led to severe waterlogging even inside the Sadar police station. Visuals show rainwater flooding every corner of the premises, causing major inconvenience to the public. In Baghpat, just a brief downpour transformed city streets into virtual rivers, with vehicles struggling through waist-deep water. Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh is reeling from devastating landslides. In Mandi’s Thunag region, a part of a mountain collapsed within seconds, burying green trees under debris. So far, 85 people have lost their lives in the state, with around 35 still missing. Relief camps have been set up by the Army for displaced families. In Assam’s Golaghat, the Dhansiri River overflowed, sweeping away a bridge. Corruption allegations have surfaced regarding its weak construction. One school was flooded, and students faced difficulty reaching class. In Katni (MP), the first rain exposed poor infrastructure, flooding classrooms in Vijay Raghavgarh School. Children were seen wading through water-filled rooms, and their studies were severely disrupted. Across states, monsoon mismanagement, weak civic infrastructure, and corruption in public works are leaving people to suffer.
