The café, inaugurated on July 7 by Sharma himself, came under attack around 2 a.m. when an unidentified man fired bullets at its windows from a car. The suspect fled immediately, and no injuries were reported. The attack was reportedly claimed by Khalistani terrorist Harjeet Singh Laddi, who is on NIA’s most-wanted list and linked to Babbar Khalsa International. Reports also indicate fear among local shopkeepers in Surrey, some of whom are considering relocating. The Canadian police are investigating the case using CCTV footage and forensic evidence.
