‘Son of Sardaar 2’ trailer out! Ajay Devgn’s Jassi goes international

The trailer for Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 has officially been released, and this time his problems take an international route to Scotland.
A spiritual sequel to Son of Sardaar, the film sees Devgn return as Jaswinder "Jassi" Singh Randhawa. Saba wishes to marry her boyfriend, but his conservative military family insists on similar roots from her side. Jassi reluctantly steps in as her fake ex-army father alongside Rabia, who pretends to be her mother—but chaos inevitably ensues.
The film also features Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, and Deepak Dobriyal. Mukul Dev will also make a posthumous appearance.
The second instalment of the comedy flick is helmed by Vijay Kumar Arora. The director previously directed the award-winning sports drama Harjeeta(2018) as well as the 2019 family drama Guddiyan Patole. Son of Sardaar 2 will mark his first Hindi feature directorial.
The film is penned by Jagdeep Singh Sidhu and Mohit Jain, with the production bankrolled by Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, N R Pachisia, and Pravin Talreja.

Son of Sardaar, released in 2012, was an Ashwni Dhir directorial which chronicled a family drama of two rival families, one seeking revenge against the other for the murder of their father. Aside from Devgn, the comedy-drama also featured Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Juhi Chawla, Arjan Bajwa, and the late Mukul Dev. Salman Khan also made a cameo appearance.
With a release date set for July 25, Son of Sardaar 2 rivals with the release of Marvel’s Fantastic Four: The First Steps and Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra-starrer Param Sundari.
