ISRO has launched an all-new short-term course offering both space and agriculture enthusiasts an opportunity to learn how space technology can be used in agriculture. This course is offered jointly by ISRO and IN-SPACe and academia. The certificate course is scheduled to be conducted at Amity University, Noida, from July 27 to August 1, with registration opening till July 11.
The course is titled ‘Essentials of Space Technology in Agriculture’ and is open for application to academicians, industry professionals, researchers, graduates and postgraduates (not final year students). This course is of interest for anyone who is interested in understanding how farming can be transformed by using satellites, remote sensing, and space applications.
ISRO Offers Short Course: Fee and Details
- The course is offered at a fee of Rs. 15,000 including food charges. On request, accommodation is also offered inside the Amity University campus at Rs. 900/day.
- It is compulsory for all participants to take a quiz on the final day as the certificates will only be given to those who will pass.
- After making the payment on bharatkosh.gov.in, students need to visit the IN-SPACe portal in order to complete the registration.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE ISRO COURSE
Step 1. Pay the fees of Rs 15,000 via Bharatkosh
Step 2. Download and save the payment receipt.
Step 3. No login at inspace.gov.in
Step 4. Go to “Opportunities” tab
Step 5. Now click on “Apply” and fill the form that will appear
Step 6. At last, upload your fee receipt and submit the form
