Tennis Star Radhika Yadav Murder: Father Deepak Yadav’s Statements Inconsistent, Police Seek Extended Remand | ABP NEWS
A shocking update has emerged in the murder case of rising tennis star Radhika Yadav, allegedly shot dead by her own father, Deepak Yadav, in Gurugram. Deepak, who is currently in police custody, is set to be presented in court today as his one-day remand ends. Sources reveal he is not cooperating with police and has been frequently changing his statements, prompting investigators to seek an extended remand. Deepak initially confessed that societal pressure and taunts from neighbors over living off his daughter's earnings led to the crime. He also claimed disapproval of Radhika’s social media presence and her aspiration to become an influencer. However, the police remain skeptical about these motives. Radhika, once ranked 113 in ITF doubles, had opened a tennis academy after suffering an injury. Her involvement in a music video titled Karwaan, alongside artist Inamul Haq, is also under scrutiny. Haq has stated his relationship with Radhika was purely professional and her father had no objection to the video. Investigators are now probing whether Deepak is misleading them with fabricated stories, as he once proudly supported Radhika’s career. The sudden change in attitude and push to shut down the academy raise further questions.
