Radhika Yadav deactivated Instagram account after music video release, told singer Inaam she was ‘busy with work’

As the investigation into the murder of former state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav intensifies, a new detail has emerged that adds to the mystery surrounding her final days.

According to reports by CNN-News18, Radhika had deactivated her Instagram account shortly after the release of the romantic music video.

The music video, titled “Karwaan”, was released in 2024, featured Radhika alongside singer Inaam Ul Haq. The collaboration was reportedly approved by her father, Deepak Yadav, who, in a shocking turn of events, has confessed to shooting his daughter dead at point-blank range inside their house.

Inaam said he reached out to Radhika when he noticed her Instagram account had been deactivated following the video’s launch. Radhika’s replied that she was busy with work and had temporarily deactivated her account.

The singer further revealed that he had travelled to Delhi just to shoot the video with her, which was shot in her mother’s presence.

“It was a five-hour shoot with Radhika in Delhi. During the shoot, I came to know that she was interested in acting. She only took the conveyance amount,” Inaam said.

However, police now believe the music video, and the attention it drew, may have been one of several turning points that worsened tensions between Radhika and her father. Sources claim Deepak was agitated over taunts from relatives and neighbours who accused him of living off his daughter’s income from her tennis academy. Police, in an official statement, claimed that the academy was the central point of conflict between the father and daughter.

Adding to the complexity, Radhika’s family said they were unaware of any immediate issues between the father and daughter. Her mother declined to give a formal statement, while her uncle recalled the moment he found Radhika in a pool of blood in the kitchen, shot four times with her father’s licensed revolver.
