Mumbai Local Train Update: Central Railway Announces Mega Block On July 13 Affecting Thane–Vidyavihar & Kurla–Vashi Routes
Mumbai: The Central Railway has announced a scheduled mega block on Sunday, July 13, as per an update shared by the DRM Mumbai. The block will impact services between Thane and Vidyavihar on the fifth and sixth railway lines.
On the fifth line, the block will be in effect from 08:30 am to 1:30 pm, while on the sixth line, it will last from 08:00 am to 1:00 pm. Additionally, a block will be carried out on both the UP and DOWN Harbour lines between Kurla and Vashi. This block will take place from 11:10 am to 04:10 pm. The announcement was shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Western Railway also announced the night block between Santacruz and Goregaon on the intervening night of July 12 and 13. To carry out essential maintenance work of tracks, signalling, and overhead equipment.
Western Railway will undertake a Jumbo Block of 3 hours and 30 minutes on the Up fast and 5th lines from 00:30 hrs to 04:00 hrs, between Santacruz and Goregaon stations, during the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. According to Western Railway, during the block period, Up fast line trains will operate on the slow line between Goregaon and Mahim.
Western Railway has also clarified that there will be no block during daytime on the Western Railway suburban section on Sunday, 13th July, 2025.
