Tina Dabi topped the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) in 2015. She is quite famous on social media platforms. Her close friend, Artika Shukla, also cleared the UPSC examination, which was the same year in which her friend Tina Dabi topped the exam. Artika secured the All India Rank(AIR) 4.

Artika’s journey has become a source of motivation for other students. A native of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, Artika was a medical doctor before she decided to switch careers. Artika obtained her MBBS degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi. After MBBS, Artika decided to pursue an MD.

At the time, Artika was pursuing her MD, but she made the bold decision to leave her medical studies behind to follow her dream of becoming an IAS officer. She was inspired by two brothers, Gaurav Shukla and Utkarsh Shukla, who also qualified the UPSC examination. Her brother, Utkarsha Shukla, who cracked the UPSC civil services exam in 2012 and reportedly works in the Indian Railway Transport Service, played an important role in her preparation. He provided her with valuable advice and shared his notes, which she used to prepare for the exam.

Speaking about her personal life, Artika’s father, Brijesh Shukla, is a doctor by profession. Meanwhile, her mother, Leena, is a housewife. While Artika was pursuing her MD from PGIMER, her elder brother Gaurav, suggested that she consider civil services as a career. She decided to follow his advice and quit her MD to start studying for the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

She cleared the examination with an All India Rank of 4. During IAS training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in 2015, Artika Shukla met Jasmit Singh, who was the AIR 3 in the exam. They became friends during the academy, which eventually turned into a relationship. The couple married in 2017 and their friend and batchmate, Tina Dabi, who was the UPSC topper of the year, was also invited to the wedding.
