Karnataka Woman Tries To 'Kill' Husband By Pushing Him Into Krishna River On Pretext Of Taking Selfie In Raichur (VIDEO)
Raichur: A shocking incident has come to light from Karnataka's Raichur district. A woman allegedly tried to kill her husband by pushing him into the Krishna River on Saturday. Fortunately, the husband, who managed to swim, got stuck near a rock. Locals promptly rescued him with the help of a rope after hearing his screams, according to Telangana Today.
At a bridge over the river in Raichur, the wife had asked her husband to take a selfie. While taking the selfie, she suddenly pushed him into the river. Villagers noticed the man swimming and clinging to a rock and rescued him using a rope.
When locals inquired, "Why did you jump?" the husband replied, "I didn’t jump—my wife pushed me."
A video of the rescue has surfaced and is making the rounds on social media. In the video, the man can be seen holding onto the rope and coming towards the shore and climbing up, while 3–4 young men are seen pulling the rope from the other side.The man has been identified as Tatappa.
The bridge over the Krishna River is located in Kadlur village in Raichur district, which shares a border with Telangana’s Narayanpet district.
Husband-Wife Drama On The Spot
Tatappa alleged that his wife had deliberately pushed him into the river, while his wife claimed it was an accident. As the couple continued to argue at the spot, locals intervened, calmed them down, and called their parents. Eventually, both were taken back to their homes.
Family Dispute After Marriage
The couple got married in April 2025. Within three months of their marriage, a rift developed between them, and they have been in conflict ever since. Tatappa alleged that ongoing disputes were the reason behind this incident.
