Who is IAS Tejasvi Rana?

Hailing from Kurukshetra, Haryana, Tejasvi Rana was super passionate about engineering right from the beginning. She cracked the JEE Main examination and took admission at IIT Kanpur. While studying, she was inspired to clear the Civil Services Examination and become an IAS officer. After watching motivational videos and exploring stories about IAS officers, she became heavily inspired and drawn to the idea of being one. With full determination and seriousness to become an IAS officer, she had made up her mind.

Where did she study engineering before cracking UPSC?

Owing to the goal decided on, Tejasvi Rana started preparing for the exam herself, without any coaching. She believed that studying by herself would be sufficient for the UPSC exam. She started to prepare by using online PDFs and NCERT books. She took mock tests regularly and wrote her notes to aid her preparation.

When did she finally clear the UPSC exam, and with what rank?

She appeared in the UPSC examination in 2015. However, she passed the prelims but was unable to pass the mains. Despite facing setbacks, she did not lose confidence and worked on her preparation and mistakes. In 2016, she again appeared in the UPSC exam and cracked it in her second attempt, securing an impressive 12th rank, and became an IAS officer. Later, she got married to Abhishek Gupta, a 2016 batch IPS officer posted in the West Bengal cadre.
