Veteran Telugu actor and former MLA Kota Srinivasa Rao passed away on Sunday morning (July 13) at his residence in Filmnagar, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, after battling a prolonged illness, just two days after celebrating his 83rd birthday. Prominent filmmaker SS Rajamouli visited Rao's residence to pay his respects, but a tense moment occurred outside the house when a fan attempted to take a selfie with the director, leaving him angry by the intrusion during such a solemn occasion.
Rajamouli Snaps At Fan
In the viral video, SS Rajamouli was seen leaving Rao's residence with his wife, Rama Rajamouli, when a fan tried to take a selfie with him. The fan followed the director all the way to his car, and as he got too close, Rajamouli lost his cool, pushed the fan aside, and gestured with his hand in frustration, as if to say, "What?"

His funeral was attended by several Telugu film stars, including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Prakash Raj, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Rana Daggubati, who paid their respects to the legendary actor.

SS Rajamouli took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and penned an emotional note in memory of Kota Srinivasa Rao. He wrote, "Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Kota Srinivasa Rao garu. Born on July 10, 1942, in the village of Kankipadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kota Srinivasa Rao made his acting debut in 1978 with the Telugu film Pranam Khareedu, which featured Chiranjeevi in the lead. He went on to appear in over 750 films across various languages.
