India’s 5 highest-paid OTT stars: While Ajay Devgn earns Rs 125 crore per show, Jaideep Ahlawat gets Rs…, check full list here
India’s 5 highest-paid OTT stars: There was a time when silver screens ruled the entertainment world — when fans lined up outside theatres to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars. But now, things have changed. The OTT revolution has flipped the script. No longer just a space for mainstream stars, streaming platforms have become a playground for talent and a cash machine for those who strike the right chord.
In this digital-first era, actors once considered “supporting cast” are now front and centre, both in fame and fortune. While blockbuster names still headline shows, it’s the depth of character and performance that truly pays — and oh, it pays very well.
So let’s take a look at who’s making the most money in the OTT space:
Ajay Devgn
In 2022, Ajay Devgn made his OTT debut with Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, and reportedly charged a whopping Rs 125 crore for the seven-part series. That makes him the highest-paid Indian OTT actor to date.
Jaideep Ahlawat
For Paatal Lok Season 1, Jaideep was paid a modest Rs 20 lakh. But the massive success of the series flipped the game — for Season 2, his fee reportedly jumped to Rs 20 crore. Yes, that’s 50 times more. “His fee increased fifty‑fold,” the reports reveal.
Pankaj Tripathi
Known for shows like Criminal Justice, Mirzapur, and Sacred Games, Tripathi’s fee has steadily grown. From Rs 4 crore per season, he now charges Rs 10 crore per episode for Criminal Justice Season 4. He reportedly earned Rs 10 crore for Mirzapur and Rs 8–12 crore for Sacred Games.
Manoj Bajpayee
With three successful seasons of The Family Man, Bajpayee reportedly earned Rs 10 crore per season, and is set to double that in the upcoming Season 4.
Saif Ali Khan
One of the early big names to embrace OTT, Saif pocketed Rs 15 crore for his role in Sacred Games, one of India’s most acclaimed web series.
What’s driving these sky-high salaries?
OTT platforms offer global reach without box office risks. With binge-worthy content and talent-first casting, it’s the performances, not just the names, that win: no Friday box office pressure, just pure impact and massive paydays.
