India witnessed a series of alarming incidents across states. In Madhya Pradesh’s Morena, a cyclonic storm wreaked havoc post heavy rainfall. A powerful tornado, soaring several feet high, lasted about 15 minutes, demolishing over three dozen mud houses and uprooting numerous trees. At least eight people were injured, with one woman critically hurt. Additionally, two youths were swept away with their bike in floodwaters while onlookers filmed instead of helping. Fortunately, both survived by clutching onto a tree until rescued.Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal, the UP STF eliminated Shahrukh Pathan, a sharpshooter of the Sanjeev Jeeva gang. Recently out on bail, Shahrukh had resumed threatening witnesses in murder cases and was involved in other criminal acts. He was killed in an encounter after he opened fire on the STF.In Rajasthan’s Jalore, a police constable was caught on CCTV assaulting a toll booth worker after being asked to pay toll charges. The viral video shows the cop slapping and choking the worker. Following public outrage, the constable was suspended, and an inquiry was ordered.Separately, Ghaziabad saw tension when kanwariyas vandalized a car after an accidental collision damaged a kavadi, highlighting rising religious fervor.
