Kota had passed away at the age of 83 after battling a prolonged illness. However, a tense moment occurred outside the house when several fans began chanting 'Jai NTR' while Jr NTR was speaking about his memories with the late actor, leaving him visibly upset.

In a viral video, after Jr NTR spoke about Kota Srinivasa Rao and was about to leave, several fans started chanting 'Jai NTR.' He quickly returned and asked them to stop. Pointing a finger at the fans in anger, he said, 'No, Jai Kota Srinivasa Rao!'
