Government banks have implemented new interest rates for fixed deposits. Even after the change, senior citizens continue to get extra returns. Let’s find out how much interest is being received on how many days’ tenure?

FD Interest Rates Change: Public sector Central Bank of India has changed the interest rates of fixed deposits in July. New rates have also been implemented for FDs of less than three crore rupees. After the change, the bank is offering interest ranging from 3.50% to 6.70% to general citizens on maturity slabs ranging from 7 days to 10 years. Senior citizens are also getting 0.50% extra return. For people aged 60 years and above, the interest rate is from 4% to 7.20%.

New rates for FDs of less than three crore rupees are applicable from July 10. The bank is offering 6.60% interest on FDs of 1 year and above. At the same time, customers will get up to 4.50% return on 90 days tenure. The government bank has also changed the interest rate of saving account deposits. Now, on amounts up to Rs 10 crore, interest will be 2.60% instead of 2.70%. For amounts above Rs. 100 crore and above Rs. one thousand crore the rates range from 3% to 4.50%.

You will get good returns on special FD tenure

The bank is offering the highest interest on tenures ranging from 2 years to less than 3 years. Apart from this, on the special tenure of 444 days, general citizens are getting 6.80% interest and senior citizens are getting up to 6.30% interest. On the tenure of 555 days, general citizens are getting 6.70% interest and senior citizens are getting 6.80% interest. The general public is getting 6.50% interest on investment of 999 days.

7 days to 14 days – 3.50%
15 days to 30 days – 3.75%
31 days to 45 days – 3.75%
46 days to 59 days – 4.50%
7 days to 90 days – 4.50%
91 days to 179 days – 5%
180 days to 270 days – 5.50%
271 days to 364 days – 5.50%
1 year to less than 2 years – 6.60%
2 years to less than 3 years – 6.70%
3 years to less than 5 years – 6.50%
5 years to more than 10 years – 6.50%

New interest rates for savings deposits

Up to Rs 10 crore – 2.60%
Above Rs 10 crore and up to Rs 100 crore – 3%
Above Rs 100 crore and up to Rs 250 crore – 3.10%
Above Rs 250 crore and up to Rs 500 crore – 3.25%
Above Rs 500 crore and up to Rs 1000 crore – 3.75%
Above Rs 1000 crore – 4.50%
