Viral Video: Schoolgirl Walking On Sewer Wall Falls Into Muddy Water In UP's Mainpuri
Students in Bhogaon Nagar Panchayat, Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri, are facing difficulties due to waterlogged roads caused by heavy rains. A video from the Prem Chiraiya locality has surfaced online, showing a girl, aged between five and six, attempting to go to school by walking along a nine-inch-wide drain wall.
The footage shows the girl losing her balance and falling into the mud, sustaining minor injuries. Fortunately, she did not fall into the drain, which could have resulted in more severe injuries. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday when the girl was returning home from school.
Other children can also be seen in the video navigating the waterlogged path. Due to the negligence of the Nagar Panchayat, water has accumulated on roads, and mud has built up, causing inconvenience to residents.
According to reports, locals have urged the district administration to resolve the issue. Questions are being raised about the efficiency of the Nagar Panchayat chairman and officials, as no action has been taken to address the waterlogging problem.
When contacted, Sub-District Officer (SDO) of Bhogaon, Sandhya Sharma, stated that she was unaware of the incident. However, she added that if such a video exists and waterlogging persists, the matter will be investigated and resolved promptly.
