Shiv Sena Leader Shaina NC Invites DCM Eknath Shinde For Special Screening Of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' On July 16

Mumbai Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC has invited Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to a special screening of the film “Sitaare Zameen Par” on July 16, 2025, at 6 PM at INOX Nariman Point, Mumbai.

Inspired by the film’s focus on children with Down syndrome, Shaina NC has called on the Maharashtra government and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to introduce special classes and inclusive education programmes for these children in Mumbai’s municipal schools.

The Shiv Sena leader urged DCM Shinde to advocate for this cause in the ongoing monsoon assembly session, emphasising the need for greater educational support and inclusion.

The screening, by Aamir Khan Productions aims to sensitise policymakers and stakeholders to the challenges faced by children with Down syndrome, as depicted in the film.

The sena leader also thanked the makers of “Sitaare Zameen Par” for their sensitive portrayal of neurodivergent children and reiterated Shiv Sena’s commitment to advocating for equal opportunities and support for all children.

Sitare Zameen Par continued its splendid performance in the fourth week. According to early estimates on industry tracker Sacnilk, Sitaare Zameen Par has earned Rs19 lakh on day 25 and earned an estimated Rs 160.60 Cr. Sitaare Zameen Par is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 90 crore.
