Thane Crime: 2 Individuals Arrested For Killing Man Over Minor Dispute Near Station Bridge In Mumbra

Thane: The Mumbra police have arrested two individuals for allegedly killing a man over a petty dispute on July 11. The accused have been identified as Rahul Shinde and Sitaram Jadhav, while the deceased has been identified as Sachin Pujari. All three resided with their families under the station bridge in Mumbra.

The incident took place below the station bridge, where the two families were living in temporary sheds. On the day of the incident, a heated argument broke out between the families after a utensil was allegedly thrown at someone’s home. The argument escalated into a physical altercation.

During the scuffle, the accused allegedly attacked Pujari with hard objects and wooden stick, causing him to fall to the ground and bleed profusely. The two men fled the scene. Pujari was rushed to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Following the incident, police visited the scene and collected CCTV footage from nearby areas.

A complaint was lodged by Savita Pujari, the wife of the deceased. An FIR was registered against the accused under Sections 103 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Anil Shinde, Senior Police Inspector at Mumbra Police Station, said, “Based on a tip-off from a local informer and technical intelligence, both accused were apprehended and produced in court. They have been remanded to police custody for further investigation.”
