Mukesh Ambani joins hands with Nepal’s richest man, country’s only billionaire to sell this product, name is…
Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has teamed up with Chaudhary Group the makers of Wai-Wai noodles to bring its Campa soft drink to Nepal. Earlier this year, RCPL took its first step into global markets by launching Campa in the UAE through a partnership with the Agthia Group. Since then, the drink has also become available in Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar.
Campa, a well-known Indian cola brand from the 1980s, was bought by Reliance in 2022 and relaunched in 2023. Since then, the brand has been growing steadily, both across India and in other countries.
“Campa is a classic Indian brand that people have loved for more than 50 years,” said Ketan Mody, Executive Director of RCPL. “We believe it has a strong future and are committed to growing it further, especially in this region.”
Reliance partners with Chaudhary Group
Chaudhary Group is one of Nepal’s largest business houses, running over 200 companies and managing more than 260 brands across the world. It operates in various sectors such as food and beverages, finance, education, infrastructure, IT, automobiles, real estate, and hospitality. The group is well known for its Wai-Wai noodles, which are sold in many countries including India.
Reliance said that Chaudhary Group’s strong experience in food and drink manufacturing and its well-established distribution system will help ensure a smooth launch of Campa products throughout Nepal.
“This partnership adds strength to our beverage business and helps us grow in a very competitive market,” said Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director of Chaudhary Group. “We’re excited to use our wide distribution reach and market knowledge to make Campa a favorite in Nepal, just like it is in India.”
The Campa range in Nepal will include several flavors: Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, Campa Orange, Campa Energy, Campa Energy Gold Boost, and Campa Energy Berry Kick.
Campa takes on global giants like Coke and Pepsi in India
Campa, the homegrown soft drink brand revived by Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), is stepping up its game against big global brands like Coca-Cola and PepsiCo. To attract more customers, RCPL launched a fizzy drink priced at just Rs. 10, making it affordable for many people. The company has also teamed up with JioStar as a co-sponsor for IPL 2025, which will help Campa get noticed by millions of cricket fans across the country.
RCPL is also investing Rs. 1,000 crore to build a new bottling plant in Bihar, to strengthen Campa’s production and distribution capabilities in eastern India.
RCPL reported Rs. 11,450 crore in revenue for the financial year 2024–25 (FY25). Campa alone crossed Rs. 1,000 crore in turnover during the year, securing over 10 per cent market share in the sparkling beverages segment in some Indian states.
