Inaugurated By Ministers In Chhatarpur, Smriti Van Dries Up; 500 Saplings Wilt Due To Negligence

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): The act of negligence in government work has come to fore in Chhatarpur district. Janpad Panchayat Bijawar could not maintain that garden even for 3 months.

The garden is in ruins since last 2 months due to negligence. Almost 500 saplings were planted here but most of the plants had dried up.

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Minister and former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan had reached Shri Jatashankar Dham on 20 February to attend the Jal Saheli Conference. During this time, Smriti Van was prepared by planting trees in Kolhupura ground located on Bijawar-Jatashankar road.

This event was organized on the completion of four years of the resolution of planting a tree every day by Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. During the event, along with the Union Minister, regional MLA Rajesh Shukla, former MLA Pushpendra Nath Pathak, former MLA Pradumn Singh Lodhi, former District President of BJP Pushpendra Pratap Singh and other leaders and officials of the district had planted trees. District Panchayat CEO Tapasya Singh Parihar was also present in the program.

It was claimed that about 500 saplings were planted here. This program was organized by the District Panchayat. But the department could not take proper care of this garden even for three months and most of the plants had dried up even before they were watered. The ones that were left have been uprooted.

The fencing net installed here for the protection of the plants is uprooted. Cows camp in the garden. The ground reality of planting trees at the government level can be understood from this garden.
