School Holiday: There is good news for school students. In view of the Kanwar Yatra in the month of Sawan, schools will remain closed every Monday till August in Bareilly and Varanasi of Uttar Pradesh and Ujjain of Madhya Pradesh, although classes will be conducted on Sunday in Ujjain.
According to the order of Bareilly DM Avinash Singh, schools and colleges will remain closed in Bareilly metropolis on every Monday of Sawan. All educational institutions will remain closed within 5 km radius of Delhi-Badaun road. In Kashi city Varanasi too, all schools located on Kanwar routes will remain closed every Monday during Sawan. In Ujjain Municipal Corporation area, all schools will remain closed every Monday till August 11, instead classes will be held on Sunday.
Schools closed in Badaun till August 4 (Saturday-Monday only)
Holiday has been declared every Saturday and Monday in all council, recognized, aided and schools run by all boards from class one to eight in Badaun. As per the order issued by Badaun DM, all classes from 1 to 12 will remain closed for students from 19 to 21 July, 26 to 28 July and 2 to 4 August. However, teachers and other staff will be present as per rules. If any examination or other activity is already scheduled in any school, then it will be postponed and the next date will be fixed.
Schools closed in Muzaffarnagar till July 23
It has been decided to close all educational institutions in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh from July 16 to 23 in view of the Kanwar Yatra. Apart from UP Board, the order will also be applicable on schools recognized by CBSE and ICSE Board. Action will be taken if government and non-government schools are found open. Basic Education Department, Secondary Education Department as well as Degree Colleges will also remain closed during this period.
Schools closed in Haridwar till July 23
In view of the upcoming Shravan Kanwar Yatra 2025 in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand, it has been decided to keep all educational institutions closed for 10 days from July 14 to 23. This holiday will be applicable to all types of educational institutions falling under Haridwar district. During this time all government and private schools up to class 12th, all degree colleges and universities, technical and technical institutes and all Anganwadi centers will remain closed.
In view of the Kanwar Yatra in Yamkeshwar development block of Pauri district, the district administration of Pauri has declared holiday in the schools and Anganwadi centres of the Yatra area from 12th to 23rd July. This order will also be effective in all the private schools falling under this area.
