NEET UG 2025: NTA Releases Withheld Results For Madhya Pradesh Candidates
NEET UG 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made available the withheld NEET UG 2025 results for the candidates from Madhya Pradesh, specifically those who took the test at examination centres in Indore and Ujjain. These students are now able to view and download their marks by logging into the official portal at neet.nta.nic.in by entering their application number and date of birth.
The NEET UG 2025 results had initially been declared on June 14, and over 12.36 lakh students had qualified for MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses in India. The results of some MP candidates had been withheld after they had filed a case in the court, claiming the power failure that occurred during the examination held on May 4, 2025.
Almost 70 students had petitioned for a re-examination, stating that the power outage at the time of the test interrupted their performance. Hearing their plea, a single-judge bench headed by Justice Subodh Abhyankar directed the NTA to hold a fresh examination for the dissatisfied candidates.
But it was subsequently stayed by a division bench of Justices Vivek Rusia and Binod Kumar Dwivedi, who observed that weather-related disruptions lie outside the control of the examination authorities. The court held that the localised incidents should not affect a national-level exam answered by over 22 lakh students.
Though the re-exam was cancelled, the bench said that the counselling procedure would continue, but it is pending the ultimate court ruling in the current case.
In the meantime, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the counselling schedule for NEET UG 2025. Registrations for Round 1 will begin on July 21, 2025, and candidates who are shortlisted for MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses can submit applications through mcc.nic.in.
