Viral Video: On-Duty Jabalpur Cops Record Instagram Reel On Bike; ‘Where’s The Helmet?’ Netizens Ask
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The craze of reels is rapidly rising. Two cops drew flak for recording a reel while on duty in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. The clip showed them donning Khaki and riding bike without helmet, prompting sarcastic comments by the netizens.
People on social media pointed out that such actions send wrong message in public, especially when police officers are expected to set an example.
A video of Constable Pradeep Rajak from Hanumantal police station has caught public attention. He made a reel inspired by the movie Singham. Many viewers felt that this was not appropriate, as it could harm public trust and showed a lack of seriousness regarding safety rules.
The situation became even bigger when a video came out showing Ankita Mishra, who is in charge of Sagara police station in Rewa, performing to a romantic song in uniform. This clip embarrassed the department, and senior officers took notice. The viral reel sparked criticism, raising concerns about discipline and professionalism in the police department.
Following these incidents, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Rewa Range issued clear instructions banning police personnel from making or posting reels while on duty or wearing their uniforms. But even after this order, some officers in Jabalpur are still making such videos.
This has raised further questions about whether rules are being properly followed and how discipline is being maintained in the police force.
