Nashik: IAS Ashima Mittal’s ‘Super 50’ Initiative Shines; 6 Rural Students From District Get Into IITs
Nashik Zilla Parishad's ambitious initiative 'Super 50' has achieved the expected success, and 6 students who were guided under this initiative have gained admission to renowned engineering institutes of the country including IITs, adding a touch of pride to the district's crown. This success has proven that such achievements can be made through quality education, the right direction, and consistent hard work—even within the government system.
The 'Super 50' initiative was started in 2022 based on the concept of Nashik Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Ashima Mittal. This initiative provided residential training and guidance to aspiring students from poor families in rural areas to gain admission to IITs, and other prestigious engineering institutes. Now, the success of this initiative has borne fruit, with 6 students from the batches of 2023 and 2024 gaining admission to IIT.
Rural students and competitive exam
The tireless work of the students, the encouragement of the parents, the selfless guidance of the teachers, and the well-planned training of the 'Super 50' team have played a major role in this success. This result has once again highlighted that students from rural areas also have a chance to succeed in competitive examinations. These students have earned respect not only for themselves but also for their families, villages, and the district—strengthening the entire education system. This success will be a source of inspiration for other students.
Speaking about this success, Zilla Parishad Nashik Chief Executive Officer Ashima Mittal said, "The success of the students participating in the Super 50 initiative is a matter of great pride for Nashik district. The fact that children from rural and tribal areas are gaining places in higher educational institutions of the country is the result of their ability. This is not just a success, but the beginning of social change. We will be committed to reaching more students with such initiatives in the coming days."
