Meet Liam Dawson, star cricketer will play vs India in 4th Test at Manchester due to…

New Delhi: The England squad for the Manchester Test has been announced. The bowler who gave England the match-winning moment against India at Lord’s on Monday, July 14, has been ruled out. The bowler is none other than spinner Shoaib Bashir, who has fractured his finger. In such a situation, he will not be able to play further in the series. The England and Wales Cricket Board, or ECB, has replaced Shoaib Bashir with a veteran spinner, Liam Dawson, who has previously played Test and international cricket for England.

Luck played a role, but now out

The Test series was not good for Shoaib Bashir, but he gave his team a winning moment at Lord’s as he took the wicket of Mohammad Siraj. However, luck also played a part in it, as the ball was defended by Siraj and had somehow gone behind and hit the stumps. However, now Shoaib Bashir will not play in this series going forward, as a shot from Rishabh Pant during the same match hit his left hand’s knuckle, the smallest finger, and fractured it.

Veteran Liam Dawson returns

Meanwhile, talking about Liam Dawson, he has played a total of 3 Tests for England in 2016-17, one of which he played against India. However, he has a good deal of experience in domestic cricket. That is why an experienced spinner has been included by England in their squad. He has scalped 371 wickets in his first-class cricket. Other than that none of the changes in the team have come from England’s side.

The England team is as follows

Ben Stokes (captain),
Jofra Archer,
Gus Atkinson,
Jacob Bethel,
Harry Brooke,
Bryden Cars (Durham),
Jack Crawley,
Liam Dawson,
Ben Duckett,
Ollie Pope,
Joe Root,
Jamie Smith (wicketkeeper),
Josh Tung,
Chris Vox

The Indian team will look to win the Manchester Test and level the series, as it is one of the best spin-friendly grounds among all the venues in the current Test series. India has quality spinners in their side — Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, and chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav. If the Manchester pitch offers some turn, India may consider playing Kuldeep in place of Bumrah.
