Navi Mumbai Horror: Kamothe Father Slashes Son With Razor Blade After Heated Altercation, Booked

A 68-year-old man allegedly attacked his 33-year-old son with a razor blade during a heated altercation at their residence in Kamothe. The son, who reportedly had a history of alcohol addiction and domestic violence, was seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment at MGM Hospital. Kamothe police have arrested the father and registered a case.

According to police, the injured man has been identified as Amol Ravindra Jadhav (33), and the accused as his father, Ravindra Ramchandra Jadhav (68). The incident occurred on Monday morning after Ravindra Jadhav returned home from his night shift as a watchman. His wife had stepped out for work, leaving Amol asleep at home.

Police said that as Ravindra entered the kitchen, and was taking out his plate for dinner, the noise of utensils woke Amol, who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. "He began verbally abusing and physically assaulting his father, asking him to leave the house. In response, Ravindra told his son that he pays the rent and insisted that Amol should leave instead," a police officer from Kamothe police said.

The argument escalated, and in a fit of rage, Ravindra allegedly picked up a shaving blade and slashed Amol’s neck. The victim was immediately rushed to MGM Hospital, Kamothe, where he is undergoing treatment for serious injuries.

Following the incident, Kamothe police registered a case of voluntarily causing grievous hurt and arrested the accused father.
