Air India has said that the flight schedule was changed due to additional checks of Boeing 787 aircraft and problems with the airspace route. This “safety pause” was imposed so that the airline could conduct additional security checks of its Boeing 787 aircraft.

This new schedule has come out
Air India has announced new routes and increased number of flights for international flights. According to official information, from August 1 to September 30, Air India will start three flights a week between Ahmedabad and London (Heathrow). These flights will replace the five weekly flights currently operating between Ahmedabad and London (Gatwick). Air India has also announced the resumption and increase in the number of flights from Delhi.
- The two previously reduced weekly flights between Delhi and London (Heathrow) have resumed from 16 July, taking the total number of weekly flights to 24.
- Delhi to Zurich flights will operate five times a week instead of four from 1 August.
- Delhi to Tokyo (Haneda) flights have also now become seven weekly flights from 1 August, adding two more weekly flights.
- Delhi to Seoul (Incheon) flights that were previously reduced have resumed from 1 September, taking the total number of weekly flights to five.
Air India has announced temporary reductions and changes to some international flights till 30 September 2025. These changes will apply mainly to European routes. Here are the details of the flights that are being changed:
Changes in flights to Europe:
Bengaluru–London (Heathrow)
Currently 7 weekly flights have been reduced to 6.
From August 1, this will be further reduced to just 4 flights per week.
Amritsar–Birmingham
Currently this route operates 3 times a week, which will be reduced to 2 times by August 31.
From September 1, it will again operate 3 times a week.
Delhi–Birmingham
This route will now operate 2 times a week instead of 3 times a week.
Delhi–Paris
From August 1, this route will be reduced from 12 times a week to just 7 times.
Delhi–Milan
From July 16, this route will be reduced from 4 times a week to 3 times.
Delhi–Copenhagen
This route will now operate only 3 times a week instead of 5.
Delhi–Vienna
This service has also been reduced from 4 times to 3 times weekly.
Delhi–Amsterdam
The number of flights on this route has reduced from 7 to 5 per week.
However, from August 1, it will be resumed to 7 times a week.

Delhi-Washington (Dulles)
Now there will be only 3 flights instead of 5 in a week.
Delhi-Chicago
The number of flights has been reduced from 7 to 3 in a week.
This route will run 4 times a week in August.
Delhi-San Francisco
Now there will be only 7 flights instead of 10 in a week.
Delhi-Toronto
The flights have been reduced from 13 to 7 weekly.
Delhi-Vancouver
Now this service will be available only 4 times a week instead of 7.
Delhi-New York (JFK):
From July 16, this route will be limited to 6 flights a week, reduced from 7.
Mumbai-New York (JFK):
From August 1, this flight will also be reduced from 7 to 6 times a week.
Delhi–New York (Liberty Airport):
From July 16, this route will run 4 times weekly instead of 5.
