In one instance, Nita Ambani gifted her daughter-in-law, Shloka Mehta, wife of Akash Ambani,  a diamond necklace as a wedding gift that is reported to have cost almost Rs 500 crore, according to several media reports. The necklace apparently contains a diamond that is extraordinarily rare and extravagant, which makes it one of the priciest pieces of jewellery in the world. The diamond in the centre of the necklace is reported to be worth over in crore, indicating not only the extravagance of the gift, but also the Ambanis’ fondness for their badi bahu.

When Akash Ambani married Shloka Mehta in 2019, Nita Ambani greeted her daughter-in-law with an extraordinarily extravagant gift — a necklace from Mouawad L’Incomparable, which features 91 diamonds but is mostly known for containing a stunning 408.48-carat yellow diamond. The necklace is considered the most valued piece of jewellery in the world, valued at Rs 451 crore.
