Claudia Calvo says Lamine Yamal offered ₹1,503,676 for women with blonde hair to attend his birthday party

Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal is facing a legal probe by Spanish authorities over the birthday party he hosted for some 200 guests in Olivella, a small town 50 kilometres north-west of Barcelona. To mark the occasion of his 18th birthday, Yamal, one of the most talented footballers on Earth, hired people with dwarfism and women to "entertain" his family and friends, which included fellow athletes, social media influencers, and other celebrities.

Trouble began for Yamal when it was revealed that he had wanted people with dwarfism, mostly artists and laymen, at his private party to entertain his guests. This did not go well with the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias with Dwarfism (ADEE), an organisation of people with physical disabilities in Spain. Now, the Spanish Ministry of Social Rights has asked the Prosecutor's Office and the Office for Combating Hate Crimes to investigate whether the country's disability law was violated during the event. This law prohibits shows or recreational activities that use people with disabilities or those who face certain circumstances to provoke mockery, ridicule, or derision from the public in a manner contrary to the respect due to human dignity.

However, it was not only people with disabilities who were reportedly hired by the organisers on the instruction of Yamal. A Spanish model revealed that she was approached by the organisers to recruit women for the birthday party. They were willing to offer $17,500 (₹1,503,676.70) for each woman for 24 hours, along with a credit card to use during the celebration. Model Claudia Calvo, a beauty pageant activist, revealed that she turned down the invite to be part of Lamine Yamal's party because she felt uncomfortable with the demands set forth by the agents.

 

Claudia Calvo, who became Miss Teenager Spain in 2021 and Miss Teenager Europe in 2022, reportedly said that Yamal was not looking for just beautiful women to attend his parties. He wanted models with particular hair colour and breast size, which made her uncomfortable. Calvo said that the crew wanted at least 12 women with a focus "mainly on breast size or hair colour, whether they were blonde.”

 

"Since I’ve been a nightclub waitress, I’ve met a few girls. I told them I was looking for these girls, and they said they were interested, but I mentioned that the organisers weren’t giving me any assurances about whether they should have any contact with any of the people who would be at the party," multiple media reports quoted her as saying.

 

However, the model, who has reportedly received death threats for her revelations on the dark side of beauty contests, later came up with an explanation on social media. "I want to make it clear, officially, that I have only spoken about what I was personally informed of. At no point have I spoken about or mentioned anyone in connection with these accusations. Everything remains alleged, as there is no conclusive evidence or tangible proof. I apologise if my statement has been misinterpreted," Claudia said on Instagram.

Lamine Yamal is no stranger to his Romeo-like ways. OnlyFans content creator Fati Vazquez had recently said that Yamal was with two women the same day during a holiday in Sicily. The teenager hosted another woman shortly before her arrival after being asked by the winger. Had she arrived a few hours earlier, all three of them would have been together, she said. The influencer admitted that the situation took her by surprise.
