Dramatic Video: Sarpanch’s Vehicle Surrounded, Attacked With Sticks & Iron Rods By 10–12 Miscreants In Rajasthan's Surajgarh

Jhunjhunu: A shocking incident has come to light from Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district. The Sarpanch of Kakoda village, Sandeep Daila and his companion narrowly escaped a life-threatening attack after unidentified miscreants surrounded his car near Barasia College in Surajgarh in broad daylight on Tuesday.The attackers, travelling in three vehicles, blocked the Sarpanch’s car and assaulted the driver while vandalising the vehicle with sticks and iron rods.

The Sarpanch and his companion Devi Singh Ola remained seated inside the car and escaped without serious injury.The entire incident was captured on a phone camera and the video has since gone viral on social media.

The footage shows two pickup vans blocking the Sarpanch’s car, preventing it from moving, while several men vandalise the vehicle from the outside. They also smashed the front window of the car. One of the headlights was badly damaged. The video further shows one of the miscreants opening the front door of the Sarpanch’s car and beating someone inside with a stick before fleeing the scene.

Police Action

Police believe that the attack could be the result of personal rivalry, but at present the probe is underway keeping all aspects in mind. The forensic team has collected evidence from the scene. Police have identified some suspects and raids were underway.

The Sarpanch and his companion were injured in the attack and were rushed to the hospital.
