Who is Reham Khan? Pakistan ex-PM Imran Khan's former wife forms new political party

Reham Khan, ex-wife of Pakistan's former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has formed a new political party, the Pakistan Republic Party, which she claims will introduce "a new political culture based on public rights, transparency and merit."
Khan, who announced the party at a press conference in Karachi on Tuesday, decried the current political system where the "elite dominate". She also promised to lay the foundation for real change.
Khan named the effective use of technology, transparent governance, and the elimination of nepotism as the main points in her party's manifesto. She claimed her party would restore ideological politics and change the face and behaviour of parliament.
The former BBC Journalist based in London, Khan spent four years with her mother, and during that time, her love for Pakistan drew her back to the country. After the BBC, Khan joined leading Pakistani media, including News One and later Dawn News, presenting the current affairs show In Focus. She also produced The Reham Khan Show, a programme celebrating Pakistani heroes.
But it was her short-lived marriage to Imran Khan that first propelled her to the limelight in Pakistan.
It was both Imran's and her second marriage, but it ended within 11 months. Khan has three children from her first marriage to a British psychiatrist who was also her cousin.
After the divorce, Khan released a book in 2018, which had scandalous details about her ex-husband, including his alleged drug use, promiscuity and relationship with men, including cricketer Zakir Khan. Imran's party PTI, had alleged that the book was released ahead of the elections, aiming to affect Imran's political chances.
Khan later remarried US-based Pakistani actor and satirist Mirza Bilal.
