Ahaan Panday, Ananya Panday's cousin and Chunky Panday's nephew, is all set to make his big Bollywood debut with Saiyaara, which also marks Aneet Padda’s first lead role as an actress. Set to release on Friday, July 17, the film has undergone edits by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its release.
CBFC Demands Edits In Saiyaara
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC has asked the makers to censor and replace 'objectionable' words at four places with 'appropriate' alternatives. However, the cut list did not specify the exact words that were replaced. The makers of Saiyaara were also directed to delete and replace 10 seconds of 'sensual, intimate, and body exposure visuals.'
U/A 16+ Certificate After Edits
Additionally, a static disclaimer on helmet safety has been mandated for scenes involving two-wheeler vehicles.
Saiyaara has been passed with a U/A 16+ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). After the mandated changes are made, the film's final runtime is 156.50 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 36 minutes, and 50 seconds.
Since the unveiling of its song and trailer, Saiyaara has generated significant buzz, with audiences brimming with excitement to witness debutant Ahaan and his sizzling chemistry with Aneet, which has become the talk of the town.
