No Words, Just Poses: Uddhav Thackeray, Eknath Shinde In One Photo Frame
At the farewell ceremony of Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, Ambadas Danve, a notable photo session took place at the Vidhan Bhavan premises in the presence of several political heavyweights. Among those present were Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar, Vice Speaker Anna Bansode, Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, Legislative Council Chairman Ram Shinde, Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe, and BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
As the photo session commenced, Eknath Shinde arrived and took a seat between Ram Shinde and Neelam Gorhe. Shortly thereafter, former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray entered the venue. On his arrival, all present leaders stood up as a sign of respect. A moment of curiosity followed regarding where Thackeray would be seated.
Uddhav Thackeray greeted Devendra Fadnavis, a rare moment given their ongoing political rivalry over the past three years. However, there was no further interaction between the two.
During the arrangement, Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe offered her seat in the first row to Uddhav Thackeray. Instead of taking her seat, he chose to sit on the adjacent chair, earlier occupied by Chandrashekhar Bawankule, which placed him directly beside Gorhe and Eknath Shinde.
As a result, a significant moment was captured in the group photograph. Uddhav Thackeray sitting with Neelam Gorhe on one side and his political rival Eknath Shinde on the other. Thackeray and Gorhe were seen having a brief conversation, but he did not interact with Shinde or Fadnavis.
The photograph featuring these leaders together, despite deep political differences, marked a moment of ceremonial formality at Danve’s farewell.
