Fahadh Faasil Spotted Using Simple Keypad Phone Worth ₹10.2 Lakh; Video Goes Viral

Actor and producer Fahadh Faasil, known for keeping a low profile, recently made a rare public appearance at the puja ceremony of Mollywood Times, a film directed by Abhinav Sunder Nayak and starring Naslen. While fans were excited to spot the actor, it was his mobile phone that ended up stealing the spotlight.

In a now-viral video from the event, Fahadh is seen taking a phone call while stepping outside the venue. What caught everyone's attention was the seemingly simple keypad phone in his hand.

However, the phone is anything but ordinary.

About Fahadh's mobile phone

On closer inspection, fans discovered that Fahadh was using a luxury Vertu Ascent Retro Classic Keypad Phone, a handcrafted mobile device from the UK-based luxury brand Vertu. Despite its old-school keypad design, the phone comes with a staggering price tag of $11,920, approximately Rs 10.2 lakh.

According to Vertu's website, the model is currently out of stock, suggesting that Fahadh may have owned it for quite some time.

The actor's choice of phone aligns with what fellow actor Vinay Forrt had shared in an interview last month. Forrt reportedly revealed that Fahadh avoids smartphones and social media entirely, and prefers using a basic keypad phone. However, he had not named the brand.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Fahadh was last seen as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat IPS in Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule. He has films like Maareesan, Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, Don’t Trouble The Trouble, Patriot and Karate Chandran in the pipeline.

If media reports are to be believed, Fahadh is also all set to make his Bollywood debut soon with an Imtiaz Ali film titled The Idiot of Istanbul.
