Odisha Crime Branch to Probe FM College Student’s Self-Immolation Case

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Crime Branch has been tasked with investigating the shocking self-immolation case of Soumyashree Bisi, a student of FM College.

The probe, ordered by Vinaytosh Mishra, DG of Police, CID-CB, Odisha, will be led by DSP Iman Kalyan Nayak of the Crime Against Women and Children Wing (CAW & CW), Bhubaneswar.

The case, originally registered at Sahadevkhunta police station in Balasore district, has now been transferred to the Crime Branch for a thorough investigation.

Inspector Panchali Rout will assist DSP Nayak in the probe, as per an official order from the Odisha Police CAW & CW Wing.

DSP Nayak has been granted authority to act as Officer-in-Charge of Sahadevkhunta police station for this investigation.
