ADC flags off patrol vehicles for security in key industrial areas

In a step towards enhancing industrial security, the Phagwara chapter of Laghu Udyog Bharati has entered into an agreement with KSP Patrolling, a private security service provider. Under the agreement, KSP patrolling teams will conduct twice-nightly inspections across key industrial zones in Phagwara, including the Industrial Area, Skillman Road and Chak Hakim.

The initiative was formally launched today with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Dr Akshita Gupta flagging off the patrol vehicles. These teams will not only inspect industrial units such as factories and manufacturing plants but will also monitor the deployment and conduct of security guards stationed in these areas.

Providing details, Inder Khurana, president of Laghu Udyog Bharati (Phagwara), stated that the decision comes in response to rising concerns over theft and other criminal activities during night hours in industrial sectors. He expressed confidence that this proactive move would lead to a noticeable decline in night-time crime rates.

“The primary objective of this partnership is to strengthen safety and promote a culture of collaboration between both organisations, paving the way for future opportunities and mutual benefits,” Khurana added. The patrolling teams will keep a close watch on suspicious activities and ensure quick response in case of emergencies.
