The buzz began swirling after reports hinted at major changes in the popular Star Plus daily soap. With 'Anupamaa' experiencing a dip in viewership in recent weeks, there has been talk that the makers are working on revamping the storyline to regain lost momentum. Part of the speculation included the possible introduction of new faces and dramatic twists - one of which was Ronit Roy’s rumoured casting.

However, the actor has categorically dismissed the reports. Speaking to TellyChakkar, Ronit said, "I'm not doing Anupamaa - the news is completely false, and I won't be playing Vanraj."

Sudhanshu Pandey, who had been the face of Vanraj Shah since the show’s inception, exited the show earlier this year, marking the end of a four-year-long association. His departure came shortly after the series took a 15-year leap - a move that triggered several high-profile exits including those of Gaurav Khanna, Nidhi Shah, and Kunwar Amar Singh.
