Bihar Govt To Launch TRE-4 Drive To Fill Over 1.2 Lakh Teaching Posts
The Teachers' Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) Phase 4 will be launched by the Bihar government. More than 1.2 lakh positions at the Primary, Middle, Secondary, and Senior Secondary levels are anticipated to be filled by the next recruitment drive.
CM Nitish Kumar pushes for swift action on Teacher vacancies
The Education Department has been instructed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to identify open positions and start preparations right now in order to speed up the process. "The Education Department has been instructed to identify vacancies of teachers in government schools and initiate the process to conduct the TRE-4 examination at the earliest," Kumar posted on social media platform X (previously Twitter). The state administration has already made it clear that Bihar citizens will be eligible for the 35% reservation for women in appointments.
The examination procedure will once more be supervised by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). The official BPSC website will shortly provide a comprehensive notification that includes details on the application deadlines, curriculum, exam pattern, and eligibility requirements.
Phases of recruitment:
TRE-1: 1.70 lakh teachers appointed
TRE-2: 70,000 teachers appointed
TRE-3: 66,603 out of 87,774 posts filled
Teaching positions at multiple levels:
Primary Teacher – Classes I to V
Middle School Teacher – Classes VI to VIII
Secondary Teacher – Classes IX to X
Higher Secondary Teacher – Classes XI to XII
The TRE-4 exam is expected to take place before the Model Code of Conduct comes into effect ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections later this year.
