Bhopal: Banned Cattle Meat Found Inside Car, Case Registered
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Sukhi Sewania police seized meat of banned cattle from inside a car on Thursday morning. A case has been registered in this regard under prevention of cow slaughter act, the police said.
According to reports, police received information that some persons were carrying meat of banned cattle inside their car. Police team intercepted the car at Imiliya Road but the persons inside fled the spot leaving the vehicle behind.
Police team found meat stuffed in sacks and seized it. The samples have been sent to the laboratory for examination and the vehicle has been seized. Police officials said efforts were underway to identify and trace the owner and the driver of the car on basis of its registration number.
Man kills woman and neighbour in Mandla
A man allegedly hacked a woman to death with an axe and also his neighbour who had witnessed the crime on Thursday, said Mandla police. Reason of the incident yet not known.
The incident took place in Gharguti village under the Ghughari police station of the district, some 60 kilometres from the district headquarters, at around 11 am.
The Ghughri police station in charge Pooja Baghel said that the accused Mahesh Maravi (45) killed his neighbour Hariom Bai (45) with an axe following a dispute. Rajkumar Uikey (30) saw the incident and tried to flee from there. Maravi chased him down and killed him with the weapon.
Residents and passersby overpowered Maravi and tied him to a pole and called police, she said. The police have registered the case of double murder against Maravi, and other offences. The police are trying to find out what was the triggered him for the gruesome attacks, the official said.
