Swachh Survekshan 2024-25: Sanwer Stands First In Indore Division
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Along with the city, the wave of cleanliness is now rapidly reaching the rural areas of the district as well. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) run by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Sanwer Municipal Council has achieved remarkable success in Swachh Survekshan 2024-25.
Sanwer stood at 22nd position in the country, 6th in the state and the first in Indore division in the population category of less than 20,000.
The success of Sanwer in the field of cleanliness includes certification of open defecation free double plus (ODF++) and 1-star rating under garbage free city (GFC), which is a direct proof of the commitment and participation of the residents of Sanwer Municipal Council.
Minister Tulsiram Silawat said that this achievement not only reflects the excellent functioning of Sanwer Municipal Council, but is also a proof of expanding the tradition of the city 'Number One in Cleanliness' to rural and town areas of the district as well. He congratulated the residents of Sanwer Municipal Council for this achievement.
